📍 Rundum Highlands, Tenom
I thought Ranau/Kundasang is the place for a cold weather getaway, didn’t think that there would be a place just as cold, well actually even colder. It took us around 12 hours on road from Kota Kinabalu with a few stops along the way to reach this place. The last stretch was the hardest going through unpaved logging roads. Definitely need a bigger car to get there. We arrived just before dusk and settled in before the opening ceremony began for the cultural performance. It was pitch black and only the bonfire and portable spotlights illuminated the entire field.
